Nobody Knew
Slowly her shackles fell
From a partially induced love spell,
I begin to see clear
Through manipulated opinions
Unfiltered unsolicited whispers
Noise in my ear
Of an alliance deemed unfair,
Love drowned in Dubai
With no savior…
Nobody knew
My heart was finally being rescued,
From verses written of the blues…
Melancholy heaviness
Drained by the love of my own poetry,
Debated back & forth
To deleted the past
Releasing the weight off my shoulders
So the future can progress
Into a love that will last…
I’m facing these reminders
Not to fall hopelessly
For another love undeserving,
Nobody knew
Love was passing through me
Each day
I was falling out of love,
To patiently fall in love with you…
