It Is You
Under tides of pressure, it is you that fill me with air…
I didn’t ask for you to enter my soul,
Here I am floating under your water…
I know you’re not mine,
Maybe I dove too deep in delusional fantasies,
But it is you keeping my pen inking poetry…
What you may not understand is that I’ll stay under this pressure just to stay close to you,
I’ll keep my fire in water to love with undying gratitude…
My promises to myself are to aim high,
Knowing that I’m enough to ride the waves to your heart…
You make me want to give it all to you,
Even in misty doubt, I want you to be the one for me…
Your ripples ceased the grief that was living within me…
How is this not fate,
For me to submerge in your galaxy…
I promise to always hold you in the deepest cores of me…
My love will one day seep through your pores, where you can actually feel me…
There is no loss for me loving you,
The only loss would be for you not to explore what God sent to adore you…
I know your eyes may be captivated by other women,
But none of them can give you the feeling of completion…
Will they drown to get near you,
Will they face humility to sit beside you,
I promise you with every fiber of me,
Regardless of where these waves drift us,
You’ll always live in my spirit…
