You were an unexpected delivery,
Carefully I placed you near my heart
To feel any vibrations…
I listened for any ticks or tocks
Hoping you’re not another bomb that’ll explode my heart…
I’m spurring to marvel in your mystery,
An intense anticipation of what’s waiting for me…
Meticulously I peeked between your corners,
I shook the marrow of your soul
The label read safe in running waters…
I still couldn’t figure you out,
How did you get here,
What are you all about…
If only I knew,
What you wanted,
What journey you traveled
To land in the depths of my valley…
I pried you open slowly,
Observing all warning labels,
Excited to unravel your packaging
To hear the best beats on your turntables…
I open one flap the other side closes,
How the hell am I suppose to get you open…?
My heart is yearning,
My eyes are teased,
If I only knew,
What it will take to have you…
To open your heart,
You’re an enigma locked in a box…
Shining golden beams,
To trigger my wildest dreams…
I don’t want to give up,
Baby, I can’t stay stuck…

To simply open all of you…
