In a world of misconception
Belief of lies to feed their own misery…
I locked away my heart behind golden gates…
Blocking spells of an apple I chose not to eat…
Now your slender dark hued frame dance of joy in my dreams…
I’m wondering how did you get here,
How did my hands lock between your hair,
How did you tantalize my subconscious to dream of you nightly…
How did my desires turn into loving the crevices of your body…
Passion brewing behind locked in walls
Confusing every feeling I knew of love…
I want to ignore these negative thoughts of you hurting what’s left in the inner core of me,
I refuse to self sabotage what can finally be the right woman for me,
Nourishing the center of my life…
It feels so good picturing you to next to me
As I dance next to you in this fantasy…
Hoping not to awake into a nightmare
Unlocking the gate,
Into the truth of why you’re single…
