Healing future generations

To fly free

Free from poverty stricken mindsets

Into the intelligence of our assets

Freed from cages of slavery

Into a life of speaking freely

Uncensored into our stories

Where love is love is a respected category,

My blackness is facts

I’m not holding nothing back

There was anguish endured

Now we can explore

All the possibilities being black is gifted of being

My blackness is beautiful

My blackness is powerful

My blackness is winning

My blackness is transcending

My blackness is free

And I’m going to live 365 days of black history…
