Batting Clarity

I want to love in clarity

Clarity in what I’m feeling,

Is it real,

Real with

Mutual feelings…

I’m still relearning how to date

I’ll admit I don’t have everything figure out

I’ve made many mistakes,

Not asking the right questions

To make it to first base,

Now I’m stuck in these feelings…sitting behind home plate…

I don’t know if I should love

Or simply walk away…

I’m left in confusion

It scares me

Knowing what’s at stake…

All this love,

I don’t want it to escape,

I have a rare heart

Loving my imperfections

With so much potential for my forward progression,

I want the love that see my worth,

Where I come up short

She comes up to bat

To hit the ball out of the park for me

Even if it’s not fully checkmarked on paper, you feel me…

She’ll communicate to understand me

A real love not fouled in approval

Not stuck on second base of other people’s delusions,

With every ounce of love

I’ll climb higher,

I guess if there’s confusion

That’s my answer…

Love should come in clarity

If I have to let go, I’ll do it in solidarity,

Without an unavailable chase

Next time I’m up for love

I’m sliding into home base…
